I was born in Cartagena, Colombia and moved to Tampa, FL when I was six years old. I loved growing up in tampa and gained a love for fishing, soccer, art and medicine. I always knew I wanted to do something in the "art" world but my love for science would lead me to pre-health path. In college I shadowed a Dentist and realized it was the perfect mix for me. Since then I've loved my journey through the field of dentistry and its vastness. I'm excited to get back to my home town to give back to the community that raised me, with a special connection to the underserved hispanic population found within our own city.

Prior to Dental school, I spent two years of my time during college tutoring undergraduate students in Organic chemistry and general chemistry at the Univeristy of South Florida. After graduation I worked for a periodontist in tampa as a Perio-surgical assistant while I applied to dental school. There I assisted hundreds of surgeries, including Placement of implants, Extraction and Bone-grafts, Sinus Augmentations and various other periodontal surgeries. I gained very valuable experience and it ignited a love in me for the surgical side of dentistry. Currently, at Creighton University school of dentistry,  I've continued to expand my skill-set in all areas of dentistry with an emphasis on oral surgery. I have been able to experience more complicated oral surgery cases because creighton doesn't have residencies, including third molar extractions and plenty of surgical extractions. Supplementing my experiences with the monthly night clinics helping underserved populations across the omaha area. I've gained a comfort in treating patients across all dental specialties in my time here and I am very thankful for that.
