Additional Information
I am a bilingual general dentist passionate about serving the local community through patient-centered care. Through my experiences in both DSO and private practice settings, I have refined my skills in patient education, diagnosis and treatment planning, full radiographs, routine prophylaxis and maintenance, tooth extractions, and restorative dentistry. I am committed to lifelong learning and growth in my practice of dentistry, and look forward to gaining even more experience.
I was born in Milagro, Ecuador and grew up in Hollywood, Florida, which is located just north of Miami. I spent my childhood playing soccer and other sports, and still enjoy playing soccer whenever I get a chance, cooking, and exploring new parks and botanical gardens with my wife. My wife and I met in high school, and we got married in 2020 and currently live in Baltimore, MD. We will be relocating to the Nashville, TN area because my wife will be starting medical school at Vanderbilt University this summer. We look forward to exploring the Nashville area and potentially buying our first home there.
In my first position after graduating from dental school, I worked for a DSO practice as the lead dentist seeing 15-20 patients per day. This experience improved both my time management and proficiency in a wide range of dental procedures, encompassing comprehensive exams, routine prophylaxis, crown and bridge work, restorative fillings, simple extractions, and the fitting of removable partial dentures. After working for one year in a DSO setting, I sought out experience in a private practice environment, and currently work part-time at Ridgeview Dental Care in Hanover, MD. I am seeking out an associateship where I can continue to refine my practice of "bread-and-butter" dentistry, but also gain additional skills – such as in surgical extractions, molar endodontics, and implants – to give my patients the highest quality, comprehensive care.
