Additional Information
As a newly graduated dentist my immediate goals are to develop as a clinician and gain comfort in working effectively alongside my assistants, hygienist, and other office staff members. With time, I aim to develop my skills and increase my knowledge of the most current dental science available to me which will allow me to perform increasingly complex as well as a wider range of procedures. As I develop as a clinician and gain experience working in the field, I hope to discover my niche which may shift my focus in continuing education. Nonetheless, I will remain dedicated to continuing education to always possess working knowledge of the most cutting-edge methods and protocols. Currently, my strengths and interests are in operative dentistry, prosthodontics (crowns, dentures/over-dentures) , and periodontology (experience with clinical crown lengthening) and dental implantology.
My name is Brian Koha-anh Nguyen. I am a first-generation Vietnamese American who is the youngest 7 children. Despite being the only sibling born in the states, I am grateful to be fluent in Vietnamese and takes pride in his culturally diverse upbringing. My desire to increase his cultural sensitivity led him to completing a BS in Anthropology at UCLA. My elder sister, Dr. Anh Phi Nguyen who is a Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine alumni, would inspire me to realize my passion for dentistry which led me to completing a MS in Biomedical Sciences at Tufts Medical School and an MBA in Healthcare management at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management. While attending school at TUSDM I have remained active within the community where my sister and I would create the first annual Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival in Randolph MA that celebrates cultural arts, diversity, and inclusion. Together we would also go on to create the non-profit organization CEO (Cultural Empowerment Organization). Gaining admittance into dental school and successfully becoming a dentist is a lifetime dream come true for me. It is my hope that my successes and legacy will serve to inspire others to achieve their own dreams and aspirations.
