My name is Tyler Houwman and I am a fourth year dental student at the UNMC seeking an opportunity as an associate upon graduation in May of 2024. I am in hopes of joining a practice of friendly, outgoing individuals that are also hard-working and eager to provide their patients with care they deserve. Although my time at UNMC is coming to an end, I am excited as well as eager to find an opportunity that allows me to become a better dentist through mentorship along with continuing education.
I grew up in small town South Dakota and graduated from Mitchell High school in 2015. I attended South Dakota State University where I graduated with a major in biology. I moved to Lincoln, Nebraska once getting accepted into their dental program and have spent the last 3+ years in the area. Here, I met my wife, Erika. We just got married this last July and are both looking forward to finishing our education and starting our careers. She will also be a dentist and will graduating this upcoming May as well. UNMC has been a great place with even better people, but we are both excited for what is next and for an opportunity wherever that may be.
