Additional Information
I am currently working as a dentist in the US Navy stationed in Pensacola, FL. My time in service ends in June of 2025, when I plan to buy a dental practice (8+ ops) in Jacksonville, FL or Greenville, SC. I don't want to rule out any opportunities that would lead to practice ownership, so I would definitely entertain the idea of buying a practice while still in the Navy. I am also looking to moonlight at a practice here in Pensacola, FL until it is time to transition into practice ownership.
I grew up in Columbia, SC and went to Clemson University (Go Tigers) where I earned a B.S. in Chemistry. I then got married and moved to Charleston, SC to attend dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina where I earned my DMD. I accepted the offer of a Navy Scholarship via the HPSP program before starting dental school, so when I graduated I commissioned as an Lieutenant and moved to Camp Lejeune, NC where I completed a 1 year AEGD residency. I recently moved to Pensacola, FL where I will spend the remainder of my time in the Navy. My wife, Hannah, is a Travel Agent, so we travel all over the country when we can. My interests include playing golf, music and audio engineering, and traveling.
I have been practicing dentistry in the US Navy and as a part of associateships in the private sector while stationed at Camp Lejeune, NC and Pensacola, FL for a total of 3 years as of May 2023. The Navy allows me to work under the mentorship of specialists to learn more about specialty procedures, so I have been able to display competency in specialty areas including molar endodontics and 3rd molar extractions. I have completed over 150 hours of continuing education on these topics and others related to improving my restorative skills. I am a member of the Navy chapter of the AGD and constantly stay up to date on the most recent advances in dentistry. My passion is digital dentistry, and the Navy has allowed me to explore many different digital workflows (intraoral scanning, 3D printing, digital design, and digital implant planning) to provide exceptional care to service members.
