Additional Information
I am seeking an opportunity to partner with other like-minded dental professionals to render compassionate, high quality care at the highest level of clinical standards and competence. I am also committed to lifelong learning, professional growth, and expansion of my skills and scope of care. Therefore, I hope to work in an environment in which these goals are shared and prioritized.
I am currently serving as a general dentist in the United States Air Force at Maxwell AFB in Montgomery, AL. I completed an AEGD-1 Residency with the Air Force following dental school, and am currently honored to serve our active duty men and women in uniform.Professionally, I am passionate about dental missions, and am honored to serve wherever and whenever I may be needed. I have had the recent privilege of serving in dental missions both close to home and internationally, and I hope to always maintain this commitment to service no matter where life's next steps may lead.I am a proud husband and father of (soon to be) 3 precious children, and love nothing more than fun adventures and exploration with my loving family. In my spare time I also love running, travelling, playing sports, and learning more about history.
I maintain a robust scope of practice to include: endodontics, fixed prosthodontics, removeable prosthodontics, oral surgery, operative dentistry, esthetic dentistry, sedation dentistry, dental sleep medicine, and orofacial pain management. Areas of particular professional interest and CE emphasis include: molar endodontics, CAD/CAM dentistry, oral surgery (to include removal of impacted third molars), and dental sleep medicine. To date, I have completed over 230 CE hours towards FAGD status. My role as a dental officer in the Air Force has also exposed me to wide range of administrative and leadership responsibilities. I serve as the officer-in-charge (OIC) of dental infection control and medical group infection control programs to achieve the following: ensure compliance, patient safety, continuity of operations, and appropriate sterilization protocols for all dental and medical instruments used in the Maxwell AFB Medical Group. I also serve as the OIC for clinical management: duties include assignment and coordination of provider call schedule, coordination of clinic operational and provider schedules, and assurance of access to care for the base population. Finally, I serve as the OIC for base dental lab: Duties include quality assurance, procurement of necessary equipment and materials, and liaison between laboratory personnel and providers.
