Additional Information
My career objective is to own a practice wherein myself and my team work together to achieve a common goal. We will serve our patients to the highest degree of care with top-of-the-line customer service, and provide for ourselves a sense of purpose and financial freedom. I dream of leading my team through anything the world can throw at it while keeping intact our core beliefs and philosophy with regards to patient care. I believe that career satisfaction comes when who we are as people is in harmony with what we do every day, and having a successful practice that reflects that principle is my ultimate career objective.
Though I have not been in the dental space for long, I have never let a lack of experience or norms prevent me from pursuing my dream as aggressively as possible. Before enrolling in school, I was already attending business and clinical CE with the hopes of hitting the ground running upon graduation. I have accumulated 170+ hours of CE in the areas of practice ownership, advanced restorative, and implant dentistry. In addition, I am fairly active in the world of dental podcasts and have been working for the highest rated dental business series. I have been hosting my own segment of the show that is entirely dedicated to preparing dental students and newer dentists for practice ownership through conversations with industry experts in finance, practice management, leadership training, and much more.At every stage of my short career, I have had my eyes set on my next step and I work tirelessly to be best prepared for the challenges that await me.
I'm a relentlessly self-improving person. I consider my professional and personal development to be intimately related to one another, and with each new challenge in my professional life, I grow personally. I'm never afraid to part from the herd of dental school, and as such, I believe my development in both areas has been considerably accelerated. The wonderful thing about the field of dentistry is that it is so rife with challenge that a person can be the way I am their entire career and never feel like they've peaked. I respect the growth process as a lifelong journey, and I believe that is what beings harmony to my personal and professional strengths.
I have conducted research on 3D printing in dentistry and competed with dozens of other students in research at my school. I won my category, and was set to present my research at the international IADR conference in Washington, DC prior to the COVID 19 crisis.
