Professionally, I am a quick, hands-on learner. I respect traditional techniques used in dentistry, but am excited to continue learning new techniques to better round me out as a provider. I like to give respect to colleagues and patients, because I believe that is important in building a trustworthy relationship. I am organized and like practicing proper protocol to ensure safety for myself and those around me.

Personally, I like to find the good in a situation, while keeping in touch with reality. I’ve found this is a really helpful attitude to have in many situations, good and bad. I am also a friendly person, in terms that I enjoy getting to know the people around me.

While maintaining good grades in school, I worked hard to stay involved in extracurricular activities and volunteer opportunities. Regarding extracurricular, I am a member of the American Student Dental Association (ASDA) and the American Association for Women in Dentistry (AAWD). In my local ASDA chapter, I served as the Vice President of the organization during my D2 year, and will be serving as the President during my D3 year. With this position, I have had the opportunity to get involved at a district and national level through annual meetings. In terms of volunteer activities, the one I most enjoy is serving at a local free extraction clinic, to provide people with free necessary extractions. Through ASDA, I have also volunteered my time to work with the local pre-dental clubs and giving them a taste of what a life in dentistry could look like.
