In undergrad I begun at Oakland University and was apart of the division 1 varsity volleyball team during my freshmen year. I then transferred to Grand Valley State University where I completed my bachelors with a degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2015 with institutional honors – Magna Cum Laude.During my undergraduate I received the Organic Chemistry Academic Performance Award in April 2014. I worked at Spectrum Health Hospital from 2012-2015 working in patient transport, as a CNA, and as a lab service representative. I volunteered my time as a gymnastics coach in 2012-2013 and also traveled to Guyana for a dental mission trip in 2013. I also spent time as a competitive volleyball coach for U-13 at the Michigan Volleyball Academy in 2014-15.During my time in dental school at the University of Michigan I received various scholarships including the West Michigan Dental Foundation Tuition Grant in 2017, the William J. Nicholson Endowed Memorial Scholarship Fund in 2018, and the The Mitus Fund Scholarship in 2018. I've served as the dental clinic representation liaison between students and faculty from 2016-2019. I spent time volunteering back in Guyana for a dental mission trip in 2018 serving as a dental provider. Also, I received the Director's Choice Award in 2019 for my project - Adult Dental Patients' Considerations Concerning Therapy Dogs in Dental Offices: A Survey.
