My ultimate objective is to have a practice dedicated to comprehensive, full-mouth restorative dentistry with minimal referrals except for molar endo, complicated perio, and complicated ortho. Ultimately I would like to phase out most insurance--as everyone desires--but base the practice on a quality of care that stands apart from the rest, that truly holds the patient in high esteem offering the best treatment no matter what the time frame or cost may be. It will be a patient centered practice that is dedicated to providing an absolutely one of a kind patient experience. It will not sacrifice quality to increase turnover or try to increase practice profits. It will be one where we take time to educate patients. It will be a practice where the staff is treated just as well as the patients and incentivized appropriately with outstanding benefits and bonus structure. All this will allow me to create a name and reputation that doesn't require any marketing, where all new patients come through word of mouth based on the exceptional patient experiences.
I am hard-working, dedicated to quality, motivated to do the best I can do, reliable and loyal with a a drive to succeed in every facet of life. I treat every patient as if they are family, no matter what. I am compassionate, trustworthy and honest and work diligently to give the patient the most autonomy while educating them to make the most informed decision possible. I am a trustworthy and eager leader. I believe in creating healthy team relationships and an enjoyable work environment.
I think professional and personal characteristics should be combined because I believe your personal characteristics carry over and permeate into how you run a practice, treat the staff, and care for the patients, and vice versa. . Additionally I am a strong willed, loving, responsible, caring, and an independent family man. I value good health and staying active. Related to that, I am an elite triathlete and endurance athlete. I have competed at multiple world championship races including the Ironman World Championship in Hawaii, the Half Ironman World Championship, and the Boston Marathon. I think it is important to have other hobbies/focuses/goals in life outside of your professional career to help you stay balanced and grounded. I am an artist, woodworker, gardener, and love to travel. I don't believe that work should take over your life, but don't get me wrong, I will do what it takes to make whatever endeavor I pursue a successful and fruitful one, including my practice. I also don't intend for that statement to allow myself or the staff a loose commitment towards their job. Responsibility and dedication towards your job are still required for what I would consider a healthy practice and work environment.
