I am adopted from China by my mom, she raised me and my sister (also adopted from China-currently in Souix Falls in her first year of general surgery residency!). We grew up on our family farm outside of the Twin Cities in Minnesota. I currently live on our farm again with my mom and enjoy spending lots of time outside with my mom and our two dogs, Riley (rescue, rottie mix) and Ollie (Aussiedoodle), gardening, and mowing our endless lawn. I went on an international trip for the first time last year to Italy with my boyfriend and it was incredible. I now have the travel bug and can't wait to pick a new destination! Outside of work, I train and compete in powerlifting- I am a world ranked equipped powerlifter in the women's 132lb division. I enjoy the challenge of the weight, the skill and technique it takes to accomplish moving several hundred pounds. I love my gym family and traveling together to meets and training at the gym. I was a former gymnast in high school and my passion for gymnastics never left, though now I coach instead. I work with my high school coach and have fun getting to work with the young gymnasts to prep them for competitions. I love country music and the highlight of my summer was going to Alan Jackson's last concert in Nashville with my best friend and boyfriend.

I started working in Orthodontics in 8th grade. I have worked in almost every position in the office from front desk to sterile to dental assistant and now most recently as the orthodontist. I enjoy working with patients and getting to know them and their families. The best parts of the day are the patients who see their smiles changing and truly appreciate the work we do and seeing their confidence in their smiles grow.I have been working as an orthodontist in private practice for the last three years, going on four. I have learned a ton. I currently work with a very wide range of patient populations. I am well versed in cultural differences and economic backgrounds that make our patients who they are, allowing me to treat them to the best of our abilities.
