Born and raised in Grand Rapids, I went to Ann Arbor for 8 years for all my training. After graduation from dental school, I started as an associate at my main office. I had other side jobs to fill my schedule to pay off student loans faster, but my main office was always in Rockford. I became a partner in that practice at the end of 2022/beginning of 2023 so it has been almost two years of ownership. There are two other owners, one was another fellow associate with me and him and I have a great relationship/friendship. The other, the original owner, has philosophical differences that has driven me to seek sole ownership elsewhere. The culture she has had since I was an associate and has stayed since I bought in is a toxic one with heavy turnover, high stress, and leaves most people at the end of the day not very happy.I met my wife on the east side in Ann Arbor and she is from the Canton area so going back to that spot is a goal or at least an option for us.
