As a 4th year dental student, I am currently searching for an associateship position within a private practice. My ideal Associateship position is one in which I uphold the mission, vision, and values of the organization. I'd like to be placed in a position where I can the help the organization succeed, while working collaboratively with another clinician(s) to maximize performance, efficiency, and growth. As a recent graduate (May 2022), I am also seeking an opportunity to expand the foundational skill-set I have obtained during school.
My name is Austin Davis and I am currently a 4th year dental student at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine. Being raised in Wilmington, North Carolina, I have always found myself attracted to an ever-changing and fast paced community. My undergraduate studies were completed at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where I received my BS in Business Marketing. Although I was a business major, the ultimate goal of mine has always been dentistry. With the goal of working in a private practice, I envisioned a marketing degree would help me grasp the business side of dentistry. My hobbies include many outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, and running. I have always lived an active lifestyle, one in which I can find ways to try new things and set new goals. As a 4th year dental student, I have gained experience in restorative (composite resin and mixed alloy amalgam), fixed and removable prosthetics, oral surgery (extractions), endodonotic therapy, non-surgical periodontal therapy, and implant restorations.My practice philosophy has developed into one revolving around the care, safety, and well-being of the patients I serve. I seek to use my knowledge as a healthcare provider to touch and improve the lives of those in need. Meeting the expectations as a clinician includes working through multifaceted treatment plans, maintaining quality care, and building high-quality relationships with patients.
