Additional Information
I am interested in learning more about an opportunity as an associate at an established practice. I have been pursuing private practice prosthodontics with an emphasis on restorative dentistry, and particularly in Northern Virginia/Washington, D.C. Moving forward, I plan to use my organizational and clinical skills to enhance my progress with advances in digital dental technology and specialty practice.
This fall, I will complete my 10 1/2 years of service in the US Air Force Dental Corps where I have grown to become a master clinician, an effective communicator and educator, and the leader that I never thought I could be. I can contribute to a problem-solving practice with my experience in patient-centered treatment planning in prosthodontics, dental laboratory, and teaching. I have been able to use my specialty training to teach other dentists in prosthodontics, as well as young laboratory technicians, which has only further enhanced my expertise.
I am a very approachable team player who has learned to embrace mistakes, because I have learned the most from them. If I am part of a team, and I have an effective learning experience, then that benefits the team. I am a planner and a perfectionist, but I have learned to be practical as well. I value learning from, and about, individuals from various backgrounds with various perspectives that may differ from mine. Embracing those interactions and experiences allows me to empathize with different people, particularly, my patients.
