Prior to enrolling at Tufts, I worked for two years as an orthodontic assistant and marketing director at an orthodontic practice in Indianapolis, so I have a brief understanding of what it takes to run a dental practice, and the time that is necessary to do so.

For almost 10 years, I was a swim instructor/coach and had to learn to establish trust from my clients, which I have directly carried over into my patients. I'm good at working with patients of all ages and comfort levels, and on multiple occasions, I have been the student that faculty refer "difficult" patients to.Also, my wife and I will have spent the first years of our marriage in Boston, and are looking for a community where we can settle down and start a family. Ideally, I would like to find a practice that would offer room for professional growth and opportunity for partnership or ownership.

Following my first year at Tufts, my GPA earned me a spot on the Dean's List, and although I did not make the list my second and third year, I still held a class rank in the top 25%. As a fourth year, I am a clinic teaching assistant (TA) and responsible for mentoring and easing the transition for the next class entering clinic. I have also been a CPR instructor since beginning my second year, and earned an MS in biology at IUPUI between undergrad and dental school.
