Additional Information
Initially, I hope to join an urban or suburban office as an associate with the ability to collaborate with colleagues and specialists and invest in continuing education. I hope to gain experience, knowledge and speed to feel confident in future ownership of a general practice.
This year I have been working in Lexington's Family Care Center serving Medicaid children in preventative and restorative care. I enjoy and am comfortable treating children of all ages. This past summer I worked four weeks in Berea, Kentucky at White House Community Clinic serving the underprivileged population. I performed extractions and sutures, root canal therapies, pulpotomies, emergency diagnoses, and restorative and prophylaxis treatments. Dr. Senters reported, “Kendra has very good follow-up skills.â€
I pride myself in having an honest work ethic and being a flexible team player with an optimistic and positive attitude. I am very committed to advocating health and well-being for my patients with quality dental care in a comfortable and compassionate atmosphere. A previous supervisor reported, “Kendra is kind and caring to all patients. She is appreciated and respected by co-workers…and is dedicated to completing her work accurately.â€
At DePauw University, I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Spanish and Biochemistry and served as a Holton Scholar and Bonner Scholar. I lived a semester abroad in Seville, Spain and travelled across Europe. As a Winter Term In Service Intern, I organized and led a medical trip to Quito, Ecuador for the month of January. While at UKCD, I have served in many leadership and community activities. As a member of the American Association of Women Dentists, I helped raise over $30,000 for the Bluegrass Domestic Violence Shelter. I volunteered serving childrens preventative and restorative needs at UKCDs Saturday Morning Clinic. Also, I proudly represented the Class of 2010 by giving tours to prospective dental students, serving as class chair on the Honor Committee and serving on the Academic Curriculum Committee. Currently, I work as a tutor for UKCD and UK undergraduate athletes and volunteer at Southland Refuge Dental Clinic.
